No doubt that Dawn has good applications. I oppose RTU products that create millions of throw away bottles. Concentrates are better when possible.

You actually have to go online and (register?) your bottle for them to donate. Being most people do not know this, or don't want to waste the time doing this, most bottles are wasted and no money is donated for them.

There is an ingredient in Dawn's dish soap that is harmful for the environment -- so they're claiming to save wildlife while they're actually harming it. (The CBC did a segment on this recently called Lousy Labels: Home Edition. Check it out here: http://www.cbc.ca/player/Shows/ID/2279642188/)
