Everyone knows that RWE pollutes to no end. Yet RWE seems to believe they can convince us otherwise. Fact: In 2008 renewables produced only lousy 2 percent of overall RWE energy.

I'm disarmed by how honest this ad is. I wouldn't dream of showing my gentle nature giant scooping huge handfuls of ore out of a pit mine and dumping them onto a conveyor belt; pit mines seem like the poster boy of bad environmental practice. However, they didn't depict the giant guzzling lakes of petroleum distillate and emitting CO2- and carbon monoxide-containing flatulence, so this may be greenwashing after all.
